Toxicity protection: It is extremely corrosive, and its solution or dust splashed on the skin,
especially on the mucous membrane, can cause soft palate and can penetrate deep
tissues. Scars remain after burns. Splashing into the eye will not only damage
the cornea, but also damage the deep tissues of the eye. If accidentally
splashed on the skin, immediately rinse with water for 10min; if splashed into
the eyes, immediately rinse with water for 15min, and then add 2% nuevocaine.
Severe cases are rushed to hospital for treatment. The maximum allowable
concentration of caustic soda dust in the air is 0.5mg / m3. Operators must
wear protective clothing such as work clothes, masks, protective glasses,
rubber gloves, rubber apron, and rubber boots. Apply neutral and hydrophobic
ointment to the skin. The production workshop should be well ventilated.
